You are beautiful, just the way you are.

I loved what my devotion was about today. It was called “BE COMFORTABLE WITH GOD” in prayer. I feel like it’s what people need to hear a lot. When you pray, you think since you are talking to God you need to sound all perfect, mature, bold and good. That’s not true. In Exodus 33:11 is written “So the Lord speaks to Moses, as a man speaks to his friend.” What this verse should speak to us about is that God wants you to feel comfortable talking to Him. As Joyce Meyer writes “God wants you to approach Him freely and talk to Him as easily and naturally as you talk to your friends. If you are approaching God trying to sound eloquent, then stop it and be yourself. Talking to God should be a natural extension of your personal communication style. It should be comfortable and enjoyable for you, and it needs to come from the heart. God made us the way we are, so we nee to approach Him without pretense and without thinking we have to sound a certain way in order for Him to hear us. As long as we are sincere, He will hear. When you talk to God, just sit there, and talk to Him as if he is your best friend and is sitting right in front of you. Be yourself.”
