You are beautiful, just the way you are.

What to do when people make mistakes.

This is by Joyce Meyer. It’s in her devotional “Love out loud” which I recommend all you girls to get. It’s an amazing devotional book, it’s about loving yourself, loving others and loving God. Here was one from a couple of weeks ago that I really liked.

Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

“I want you to know about a great gift you can give other people. It’s permission to not be perfect! I enjoy being around people who do not pressure me to be perfect. God loves us unconditionally, and that means He accepts us the way we are and then helps to be all we can be. The world is filled with pressure to perform and excel, but when people fall short, they need a word of kindness that lets them know they are still accepted and valuable.
When you are with people who make mistakes, immediately try to remind them of their strengths or of something amazing you have seen them do recently. We should not take anything that people do well for granted. The devil works overtime trying to make people feel like a failure, and we should work equally hard to make them feel like a success.

Bearing with one another’s weaknesses is just one simple way of showing love.
Lack of encouragement causes depression, despair, and it prevents people from reaching their potential in life. We ALL need to be encouraged.”
